Microneedling is a skin resurfacing treatment that uses a series of very fine needles to make microscopic “injuries” in the skin. It may sound strange that injuring skin can help it look better, but that’s exactly what happens: Microneedling triggers your body’s natural healing response.
Following a microneedling treatment, extra blood flows to the skin, delivering proteins and growth factors to the area. Your skin uses these growth factors to build new collagen and regenerate healthy skin cells. As a result, your skin becomes firmer, smoother, and clearer.

There are dozens of microneedling devices on the market; many work well, but we want only the very best for you. That’s why we use the Collagen P.I.N. The “P.I.N.” stands for percutaneous induction needling, which is a fancy term for creating channels through the skin to induce the skin’s natural healing process, including dramatically increased collagen and elastin production.
Unlike older microneedling technologies, the Collagen P.I.N. is automated to ensure precise, safe, and even treatment for consistent improvements. Other benefits of the Collagen P.I.N. include:
We perform microneedling in our medical spa treatment rooms during a regular appointment. You can arrive without makeup, but we will also give you a few minutes to cleanse your face here as well. While discomfort is minimal, we can apply a topical anesthetic if you prefer.
Now we begin the microneedling! We will gently and precisely move the device across the skin in the treatment area (face, hands, neck, and so on). Most people experience minimal discomfort, although you may feel a slight stinging or prickly sensation as the microneedling device moves over your skin. When we’re finished, we will go over your post-treatment care instructions.
Most people resume normal activity immediately after treatment, although you will need to keep the treated area completely protected from the sun as it heals, preferably with both clothing/hats and broad-spectrum SPF. It’s normal to have some slight redness and skin sensitivity for the first 1 to 3 days after treatment. You can wear mineral-based makeup after the first 24 hours.
You should experience noticeable improvements in skin texture and appearance within 2 to 3 weeks after your first treatment. Results will continue to improve as collagen production ramps up. Most people choose to have a series of microneedling treatments to achieve maximum benefits—typically about 3 to 6.
